The Convergence is pleased to announce the winners of the NUSPA Book Prize 2019. We thank the students who have written on interesting and thought-provoking topics on potential challenges or perspectives regarding Singapore’s future.⁣ The judges were impressed by the many outstanding entries that met the requirements, and selected the top two winners of the NUSPA Book Prize 2019.⁣ The first runner up goes to Mohamed Fayyaz, who shared his perspectives on Islamophobia in Singapore. ⁣ The winner of the NUSPA Book Prize 2019 goes to Saddiq Basha for his excellent contribution on Singapore’s development as a one-party dominant state. ⁣ Please stay tuned for the full essays written by Fayyaz and Saddiq, due to be published over the next few weeks. ⁣ The Convergence would also like to take the opportunity to thank Global-is-Asian for their support, and we hope to have more future collaborations when organising the subsequent runs of the NUSPA Book Prize in the year ahead.
