ASEAN's Security Strategy: The South China Sea

China has militarised the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea--- rejecting competing territorial claims by many ASEAN countries, and openly challenging US military presence in the area. How will ASEAN navigate this increasingly complex security environment in Southeast Asia?

This year, we have managed to invite two of the region’s leading experts in ASEAN security issues and the South China Sea: Mr. Kishore Mahbubani, and Dr Ralf Emmers. Do not miss this rare chance to hear from these experts, as well as ask them questions during the Q and A session and the post-forum reception/networking.

In addition to the forum, a book sale will also be held, featuring one of Kishore Mahbubani's book: "The ASEAN Miracle: A Catalyst for Peace." (25% Discount for NUS students) Do come earlier for the books if you are interested!
